The hotel’s spa facilities are a true highlight, with the real show-stopper being the generously proportioned pool that’s framed by jaw-dropping views due to the huge windows.
There is also a range of saunas, and steam baths, complemented by holistic treatments that promise rejuvenation. I had the most incredible massage here and I’m sure the therapist had magic hands!
After a day at the spa, the hotel offers several exceptional dining options. My personal favourite is the cosy chalet-style Kronenstübli.

Located on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the Park Hotel in Vitznau is a haven of intimacy and serenity.
At this hotel, a 100-year-old wine cellar sets the bar high, and is easily matched by the dining on offer.
If you’re a foodie at heart like I am, you’ll want to try out the Michelin-starred options on offer at Focus ATELIER.
The spa facilities at the Park Hotel offer ultimate relaxation with a Finnish sauna, Kneipp hydrotherapy, an ice grotto, and heated outdoor infinity pool overlooking the surreal mountain panorama.
Guests here can indulge in a variety of water-based treatments, reflecting the hotel’s lakeside setting, for a contemporary spa experience.

The minimalist design of the hotel, particularly its thermal baths, creates a tranquil and almost meditative atmosphere – which I think is just perfect after a day of hiking or skiing.
5. Carlton Hotel, St Moritz

Best for: Non-skiers

As one of my top ski resorts for non-skiers, I can recommend leisurely strolls around the magical lake, winter sports on the lake or engaging in the lively après-ski scene in St Moritz.
