1. The Porch House

Address: Digbeth Street, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire GL54 1BN

Best for: History

The Porch House Stow

As possibly the oldest inn to be found in England, The Porch House can be found in the heart of the town.

I think this is one of the best Stow-on-the-Wold pubs for drinking and dining, and it also offers a superb range of rooms.

The style is elegant, countryfied chic. It brings an amalgamation of exposed stonework, floral, checked and striped prints, padded headboards, and deluxe linens.

I love that each room is packed with character. Some have features like a freestanding curved bathtub or a cosy window seat.

2. The Old Stocks Inn

Address: The Square, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire GL54 1AF

Best for: Stylish rooms

Old Stock Inn Bathtub

In my opinion, this 17th century pub is also one of the finest Stow-on-the-Wold hotels to be found in the town centre. Despite its age, the Old Stocks Inn is fresh and contemporary in style and outlook.

Think pops of cobalt blue, yellow and tea, modern furnishings, and oodles of comfort.

Accommodation options range from cosy guest rooms to charming garden rooms and a selection of cottages. The inn also has a bright, stylish bar and restaurant.

3. Number Four

Address: Fosseway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire GL54 1JX

Best for: A romantic stay

Number Four is located just outside town by the Fosse Way, an ancient Roman road that runs through the Cotswolds.

With just 18 rooms in total, I love that this hotel has an intimate, romantic feel. Not least because of the honey-toned stone courtyard that the accommodation huddles around.

The award-winning eatery is one of the top Stow-on-the-Wold restaurants to dine at, while rooms are sleek, well-equipped and comfortable, with luxury linens, flatscreen TVs and mini fridges.

4. The Bell at Stow

Address: Park St, Stow on the Wold GL54 1AJ

Best for: Pub with rooms

The Bell at Stow

Perched at the foot of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Bell at Stow exudes the charm and quirkiness synonymous with the Cotswolds.

This delightful country pub with rooms offers a cosy retreat complete with low beams, flagstone floors, and inviting fires.

I love that each of its 14 boutique bedrooms are uniquely decorated.

As a pub with rooms, you cannot miss the opportunity to dine in the restaurant. Here you’ll find a seasonally curated menu and a fantastic selection of ales.

5. The Sheep

Address: Sheep St, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham GL54 1AU

Best for: Spacious rooms

The Sheep Stow

Contemporary style meets rustic charm at this centrally located hotel in Stow-on-the-Wold.

This vibrant inn features chic, comfortable rooms which are simply perfect for a relaxing retreat.

The on-site restaurant at The Sheep serves up a delectable menu of fresh, locally-sourced dishes. Unwind in the bar or enjoy al fresco dining in the garden area.

6. The Kings Arms Hotel

Address: Market Square, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham GL54 1AF

Best for: Central location

The Kings Arms Stow

Standing proudly on the bustling Market Square of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Kings Arms Hotel is a former 16th century coaching inn.

Brimming with character, it offers individually styled rooms, as well a warm and inviting atmosphere.

As yet another pub with rooms (there’s a bit of a theme here!), you’ll find freshly prepared food and plenty of drink options in the hotel’s restaurant.
