By train: 2.5 hours
By car & ferry: 3 hours
The Amalfi Coast is a slice of Mediterranean paradise. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve been mesmerised by its dramatic cliffs and azure waters.
Hop on a boat tour to soak in the coastline’s beauty or wander through Positano’s charming streets. Don’t miss Villa Rufolo in Ravello for jaw-dropping views.
Fancy a bite? Indulge in some proper lemon granita or fresh seafood. It’s a bit of a way to go for a day trip, but trust me, it’s worth every minute of the journey.

Wine lovers, you’re in luck as well. The local Orvieto Classico is a delicious wine and definitely worth trying.

Pompeii is a real jaw-dropper if you ask me. When you’re there, it feels like you’ve stepped into a time machine. The ancient streets echo the Roman life and the history is truly compelling.
Interestingly, you’ll also come across plaster casts of the volcano victims. While haunting, the images are poignant as well.

The crystal-clear waters are perfect for a dip, and the rugged coastline is a treat for the eyes. Make sure to hire a little boat to explore the hidden coves as well. Pure bliss!
While there, I suggest taking a walk to explore the colourful houses and the lively Ponza Harbor. Do some retail shopping while at it or stop by any of the great seafood restaurants.

The chairlift to Monte Solaro offers views that’ll take your breath away. At the top, you can take in the incredible coastline and the dazzling array of villas.
