Best spas in Cambridge

1. Gresham House Wellness at Gonville Hotel

Gresham Spa

First up, I’ve chosen a wonderfully tranquil and charming spa in the heart of Cambridge: the luxury Gresham House Wellness at the Gonville Hotel.

Their range of ESPA treatments include the full menu of options you’d expect from a first-class spa.

Set within a Victorian villa, right in the centre of Cambridge’s conservation area, I love that it retains its period character but oozes modern luxury.

It’s a real escape from the busy Cambridge streets and a perfect place to unwind.

2. QI SPA

The QI SPA at David Lloyd Cambridge is on the edge of the city, ensuring there’s plenty of space. This is definitely one of the most popular destinations for a spa day in Cambridge and I can see why.

It offers over 80 different treatments from the expected massages and facials through to microblading and Botox.

Whatever you’re looking for from your spa treatments, I’m sure you’ll find the right experts here. The facilities are relaxing and rejuvenating with outdoor and indoor options.

3. Elemis Spa at The Varsity Spa Hotel

Address: Thompsons Ln, Cambridge CB5 8AQ

Best for: A central location

Elemis Spa at The Varsity Spa Hotel

In my opinion, The Varsity is one of the best spa hotels in Cambridge for many reasons. The Glassworks is the name of the Elemis Spa here and it exudes a quirky, intimate, and luxurious feel.

I’d recommend sinking back in the Whirlpool hot tub where you can enjoy a classic Cambridge view over the River Cam.

De-stressing is the name of the game with options for sauna, steam room and pool, as well as a fantastic gym. Studio classes at the gym are complimentary with your spa day or stay.

The Elemis spa works for a Cambridge spa day where you can pick and choose your own agenda. Include afternoon tea or book treatment after treatment (sounds like utter bliss to me!). I’d highly recommend the dreamy candlelit massage.

This spa break in Cambridge is popular though, so I’d advise booking early. Their spa packages ensure you can pick what works best for your break, allowing you to have a tailored and personalised experience.

The Varsity is also one of my favourite luxury hotels in Cambridge, so it’s a great pick for your Cambridge trip.

For spa days in Cambridge, I don’t think you can go wrong with booking into the Cambridge Country Club Spa.

Only opened last year, the facilities are wonderfully luxurious and I’m not surprised that they’ve already got a couple of awards.

One such award is for ‘Best spa day in Western Europe & Scandinavia’ in The World Spa Awards – that’s quite something!

Cambridge Country Club Spa Pedicure

Here you can relax and unwind in the gorgeous subterranean-feel pool, heat experience suites, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, rainforest showers and Himalayan salt room.

You can also make use of the Lifestyle Gym. There are a range of exceptional treatments available too, and I’d recommend trying the Frangipani Foot Ritual.

Plus, you can enjoy meals or afternoon tea in The Cotto Restaurant. It’s undoubtedly one of the best spas in Cambridge.
