1. The Scarlet, Cornwall

The Scarlet is an adults-only eco-hotel, perched on the stunning Cornish coastline at Mawgan Porth.

I love scenic open-air hot tubs, and at The Scarlet you’ll get just that with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic. The reed-filtered outdoor pool is a delight too.

After a long walk along the beach, the ayurvedic-inspired spa treatments are restorative and refreshing.

The guided meditation and sound experience slow the mind and provide total bliss and introspective calm.

2. Dormy House Hotel, The Cotswolds

Imagine a 17th-century Cotswolds farmhouse that’s been transformed into a luxurious hotel.

The Dormy House Hotel & Spa has retained all of its vintage charm and tranquillity, but its renovation added all the modern luxury touches you’d expect.

I love the infinity pool, the salt steam room, the lavender sauna, and the unparalleled thermal suite.

This isn’t surprising, as Dormy House Hotel partnered with Temple Spa and Natura Bissé, which means that guests get an unforgettable experience.

I also recommend booking a floatation experience, which is the closest you can get to a feeling of weightlessness! It does wonders for stress relief and enhancing sleep quality.

After that, head to the ‘Spa Café’, which serves healthy and delicious snacks.

3. Coworth Park, Berkshire

Coworth Park Berkshire summer

Berkshire’s Coworth Park has all the charm of the English countryside and the luxury of a Dorchester Collection hotel.

I love that the spa’s eco-friendly design merges seamlessly with nature. Its living roof is planted with aromatic thyme and lavender, adding a unique touch to the building.

This beautiful place is surrounded by 240 acres of picturesque parkland. That alone instantly cleanses the soul and clears the mind!

The spa has eight treatment rooms, a ‘Spatisserie’ that offers a menu of healthy options, and a sun terrace. You’ll also find a heated indoor pool with underwater music!

4. Gleneagles Hotel, Scotland

Gleneagles Hotel

The ‘Palace of the Glens’, formally known as the Gleneagles Hotel, is a vintage country estate that’s been around for over a hundred years.

It takes up a vast expanse of Scotland’s lush green lands, as the main building lies within 850 acres of charming countryside.

The ESPA spa at Gleneagles is one of the best in Europe. It offers more than 60 treatments, and my favourite is the ‘Source’ experience.

It takes guests through a series of rooms, inspired by local minerals and plants.

The Gleneagles Hotel also offers an assortment of activities on its grounds, such as golf, falconry, and off-road driving.

5. Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa, The Cotswolds

Lucknam Park Spa

The historical city of Bath is one of the UK’s first wellness destinations – and you’ll find Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa just a short drive away.

Another of the best spa hotels in the UK, this ESPA spa estate spreads over 500 acres of meadows, plus it has a formidable Equestrian Centre.

It has five thermal cabins, a saltwater plunge pool, in addition to indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy pools.

You’ll fall in love with the spa’s ‘Wellness House’ and its alternative therapies. They are incredibly healing and regenerative.

6. Rockliffe Hall, County Durham

Rockliffe Hall Spa Garden

If you like golf, luxury, and relaxation, the Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf, is definitely for you!

This spa break is located in Darlington, County Durham. It’s set within 375 acres of grounds, including a golf course surrounding classical English buildings.

But don’t let the historical airs fool you; this spa has a helipad ready to welcome its guests.

One of the popular treatments at Rockliffe is the ‘Spa Wave Treatment’, which is a combination of sound and light effects that aim to put you in a state of total bliss.

The spa garden is so pretty that you could spend hours on end on meditative walks. Plus, don’t miss the glass-fronted sauna and the infinity-edge hydrotherapy pool.

7. Four Seasons Hampshire

Four Seasons Hampshire

The Four Seasons Hampshire is an 18th-century Georgian manor house that offers an exquisite blend of modern luxury and captivating history.

If you’re ready for a complete detox, I recommend booking their ‘Escape the Pace’ package. It works like a charm.

The Four Seasons Hampshire is a delight in Autumn. There’s no better feeling than taking a plunge in the outdoor vitality pool on a crisp morning, It’s absolutely delightful.

After a day of walking, playing tennis, or simply soaking up the surroundings, book in for a signature Harley Street facial. It’ll make you feel gorgeous inside and out!

8. Chewton Glen, New Forest

Chewton Glen Spa

Another of the best spa hotels in the UK, Chewton Glen is a 5-star Relais & Chateaux hotel perched at the edge of the New Forest.

The 18th-century-styled spa offers a unique treehouse accommodation experience that’s truly amazing. It’s also an award-winning spa for good reason.

The hotel’s ‘Treetox’ programme and Natura Bissé treatments are out of this world, and you wouldn’t find them anywhere else.

9. The Gainsborough Bath Spa, Bath

Gainsborough Bath Spa

The Gainsborough Bath Spa is one of the few hotels in the UK with direct access to Bath’s thermal waters.

It’s built in the signature Roman and Georgian styles, and its architecture is simply stunning.

The ‘Bath House Circuit’ is one of my favourite treatments. It’s a wonderfully immersive experience that starts with various thermal pools, proceeds to saunas and steam rooms, and ends in ice alcoves.

Treatments also include botanical-based products procured from Aromatherapy Associates and Kerstin Florian.

10. Cliveden House, Berkshire

Cliveden House indoor pool

Cliveden House is a grand National Trust property in Berkshire, near London. It has a rich, almost scandalous, history going all the way back to the 17th century.

The spa amenities are second to none, but it’s their partnership with Oscar-winning makeup artist Sarah Chapman for facial treatments which is the real appeal here.

Who wouldn’t feel like a star after receiving a Hollywood-worthy pampering?

Cliveden House also offers unique experiences in the infrared sauna and a fitness suite.

There’s also the vintage boat trips on the River Thames, and dining in the Cellar Dining Room, which has some of Europe’s finest wine collections.
