For me, visiting a rooftop bar is a must-do when visiting any city. Where else can you savour such stunning views over the skyline, spotting the famous local landmarks? All while sipping a perfectly crafted cocktail, or a glass of the finest French champagne.
From a rooftop kitchen garden with a hen house to a pool that was the city’s most popular for decades, Paris offers some truly swoon-worthy spots for pre or post-dinner drinks. And if you want to dine in style, many of the following are also home to the city’s finest restaurants.
Here’s my curated list of the dozen best rooftop bars in Paris.

5. La Terrasse at Galeries Lafayette
Address: 40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
Best for: Stopping while shopping
Galeries Lafayette isn’t only one of the world’s most famous department stores, it also boasts a rooftop bar on the eighth floor.
I love the fact that you can stop for a cocktail while shopping – which is particularly appealing when it’s raining in the City of Light!
There are two transparent domes on the lofty terrace, affording visitors sweeping views over the first and ninth arrondissements.
For winter, the summer Cube bar is transformed into the Ice Cube bar.
6. Brach Rooftop
Address: 1-7 Rue Jean Richepin, 75116 Paris

The rooftop bar at Brach hotel is unique because of its garden feel.
The terrace not only offers jaw-dropping views towards the Eiffel Tower, but is also set within a manicured kitchen garden.
There’s also a charming hen house, complete with laying birds.
Sipping a refreshing cocktail among the vegetables, herbs, berries and hens certainly makes for a one-off experience.
7. Sequoia

Too Tac Tac is known for serving the “highest brunch in Paris” from 11.30am, so you don’t have to save this one for the evening.

10. Le Perchoir
Address: 14 Rue Crespin du Gast, 75011 Paris

Le Perchoir is a city bar capable of transporting guests to Mediterranean climes.
Despite its seventh floor location above the rooftops, I think it has a casual, boho feel calling to mind chic five star resorts by the sea.
Natural wood, soothing neutrals with pops of jade green, and plenty of plants make this a place to truly unwind, all while taking in 360 degree city views.
11. Bonnie
Address: 17 Boulevard Morland, 75004 Paris

Bonnie at the So/Paris Hotel offers a refined Parisian meets lively New York City ambience.
