12 beautiful rooftop bars in Paris

ROOF Madame Rêve

For me, visiting a rooftop bar is a must-do when visiting any city. Where else can you savour such stunning views over the skyline, spotting the famous local landmarks? All while sipping a perfectly crafted cocktail, or a glass of the finest French champagne.

From a rooftop kitchen garden with a hen house to a pool that was the city’s most popular for decades, Paris offers some truly swoon-worthy spots for pre or post-dinner drinks. And if you want to dine in style, many of the following are also home to the city’s finest restaurants.

Here’s my curated list of the dozen best rooftop bars in Paris.

1. Bramble by Margot Combat

Address: 27 Quai Jacques Chirac, 75007 Paris

Best for: Berry-based cocktails

Bramble bar in Paris can be found at Les Ombres restaurant, at the top of the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac.

Expert mixologists create signature cocktails here from 6pm daily. The range includes delicious mocktails for anyone avoiding alcohol.

Friendly staff in brightly coloured clothing and breathtaking views over the city skyline create a memorable experience.

Bramble is named for the British concoction of the 1980s – containing the autumn berry, of course.

2. Le Rooftop Molitor

Address: 6 Avenue de la Prte Molitor, 75016 Paris

Best for: Poolside panoramas

This rooftop bar in Paris also shares the space with a refined restaurant – as well as the Molitor Hotel and Spa.

Whether you choose to dine or simply drop in for a drink, spectacular views towards the Eiffel Tower can be yours during your visit.

Molitor stands out because of its distinctive swimming pool. This dates back to 1929, and was the most popular in the French capital for around six decades.

3. Windo Skybar at Hyatt Regency Paris

Address: 3 Place du Général Kœnig, 75017 Paris

Best for: Champagne

This city skybar is among the top rooftop bars in Paris for champagne fans.

Carefully crafted cocktails are also available, of course, and you can savour stunning views while tucking into a curated selection of delectable canapes.

At 140 metres, the rooftop bar at the Hyatt Regency is the highest in the city. It’s also one of the most spacious, with room for up to 160 guests.

4. Le Rooftop at Peninsula Paris

5. La Terrasse at Galeries Lafayette

Best for: Stopping while shopping

La Terrasse at Galeries Lafayette Rooftop

Galeries Lafayette isn’t only one of the world’s most famous department stores, it also boasts a rooftop bar on the eighth floor.

I love the fact that you can stop for a cocktail while shopping – which is particularly appealing when it’s raining in the City of Light!

There are two transparent domes on the lofty terrace, affording visitors sweeping views over the first and ninth arrondissements.

For winter, the summer Cube bar is transformed into the Ice Cube bar.

6. Brach Rooftop

Address: 1-7 Rue Jean Richepin, 75116 Paris

Best for: A kitchen garden

The rooftop bar at Brach hotel is unique because of its garden feel.

The terrace not only offers jaw-dropping views towards the Eiffel Tower, but is also set within a manicured kitchen garden.

There’s also a charming hen house, complete with laying birds.

Sipping a refreshing cocktail among the vegetables, herbs, berries and hens certainly makes for a one-off experience.

7. Sequoia

Address: 27-29 Boulevard des Capucines, 75002 Paris

Best for: Casual, contemporary style

With a contemporary, laid-back vibe, Sequoia at the Kimpton St Honoré Paris lies close to the Opera metro station.

The bar offers superlative views towards the Eiffel Tower and other Paris landmarks. Expect a range of cocktails that spans everything from classic to tiki-style, plus relaxed tapas dishes.

Due to its popularity, do note that a minimum spend of 50€ each applies at Sequoia.

8. 10ème Ciel

Address: 22 Rue Jean Rey, 75015 Paris

Best for: Photo opps

See all the sights from one city hotspot by paying 10ème Ciel in Paris a visit. If you’re planning a romantic evening, add this one to your list.

It seems as if the space has been designed to afford every visitor the best possible views of the illuminated tower by night.

Expect to queue here, but in my opinion it’s well worth the wait. Not least if you want to create an envy-inducing Insta feed!

9. Too Tac Tac

Address: 65 Rue Bruneseau, 75013 Paris

Best for: Brunch with a view

Too Tac Tac is known for serving the “highest brunch in Paris” from 11.30am, so you don’t have to save this one for the evening.

This good-looking bar with a fabulous terrace is also very popular on Friday and Saturday nights – and deservedly so.

A minimum spend applies here, too, which is 50€ for dinner and 55€ for brunch.

10. Le Perchoir

Address: 14 Rue Crespin du Gast, 75011 Paris

Best for: Mediterranean vibes

Le Perchoir is a city bar capable of transporting guests to Mediterranean climes.

Despite its seventh floor location above the rooftops, I think it has a casual, boho feel calling to mind chic five star resorts by the sea.

Natural wood, soothing neutrals with pops of jade green, and plenty of plants make this a place to truly unwind, all while taking in 360 degree city views.

11. Bonnie

Address: 17 Boulevard Morland, 75004 Paris

Best for: Sweeping Seine views

Bonnie at the So/Paris Hotel offers a refined Parisian meets lively New York City ambience.

Positioned close to the Seine, this one’s particularly good if you’re seeking river views.

Open until the early hours from midweek to Saturday night, this can be a place to party – or share intimate drinks in a quiet corner if you prefer.

12. ROOF Madame Rêve

Address: 43 Rue Etienne Marcel, 75001 Paris

Best for: Sheer scale
