6 utterly charming hotels in Broadway, The Cotswolds

The village of Broadway is a charming English escape nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. The region is known for its distinct stone houses and cottages, blooming gardens, and rich history, which makes it a perfect place to spend your holiday.

Luckily, there are several excellent hotels in Broadway offering wonderful experiences for all tastes and budgets.

1. Dormy House

Address: Willersey Hill, Broadway WR12 7LF

Best for: A spa break

This 17th-century converted farmhouse is located on the same estate that includes the Fish Hotel and Foxhill Manor.

It combines the charm of a rustic country house with the contemporary luxury of a modern retreat with plenty of amenities for your comfort.

Here, you can savour a wide range of delicious cuisines at the hotel’s restaurant, unwind at the well-equipped spa, or explore the beautiful gardens.

2. The Fish Hotel

Address: Farncombe House, Campden Ln, Farncombe, Broadway WR12 7LH

Best for: Treehouses and shepherd’s huts

If you’re looking for a location to experience the true beauty of the Cotswold’s outdoors, you should consider The Fish Hotel.

This one is the definition of seclusion and serenity, as it’s set amidst 400 acres of private estate for a truly immersive and unique Broadway experience.

Best for: Tailored dining experience

Foxhill Manor is located within walking distance from the Fish Hotel. Similarly, this one offers a haven of relaxation, enveloped in tranquillity and traditional elegance.

This one is the kind of place you would consider if you’re looking for a quintessential country house experience without compromising on amenities.

Besides its brilliant residence and wedding venue, it also features an award-winning restaurant where the chefs will tailor the dishes to you.

No menus, no decisions, and a truly memorable dining experience! 

4. Abbots Grange Manor House

Address: Church St, Broadway WR12 7AE

Best for: A romantic getaway

Abbots Grange is steeped in Cotswolds’ history, as this residence is one of the best preserved medieval manor houses all over Britain!

That being said, the interior of this luxurious country house strikes a perfect balance between convenience and 14th-century grandeur.

The 5-star accommodation has won multiple awards under the Guest Accommodation Scheme.

This includes a recent award in 2023 in addition to an AA-rated breakfast, ensuring a refined experience for its guests.

5. The Lygon Arms

Address: High St, Broadway WR12 7DU

Best for: A dog-friendly hotel

For a truly enjoyable experience, I have no doubt that you’ll have a lovely stay at the four-star Lygon Arms. 

This historic coaching inn offers a variety of rooms, from cosy guest rooms to historical suites. There are cottages available too for that quintessential Cotswolds experience.

The restaurant at Lygon Arms offers a menu curated by celebrity chef James Martin, and here you’ll find a laid-back atmosphere.

6. Buckland Manor

Address: Broadway WR12 7LY

Best for: A country house hotel

Ending on a high note, Buckland Manor is a charming retreat if you’re looking for an outstanding experience among acres of picturesque grounds with vibrant rose beds.

Besides the luxurious accommodation and the magnificent views, the manor also houses one of the best restaurants in Broadway.

Here, Head Chef Mark Potts crafts menus featuring fresh, local produce from the neighbouring Vale of Evesham for an award-winning experience.
