10 gorgeous boutique hotels in Greece

Luxury Hotels in Santorini - Nobu

If you’re planning a trip to Greece, I’m here to help you decide where to stay.

Forget about the all-inclusive resorts and the touristy destinations. Instead, I’d recommend immersing yourself in the local culture by opting for hidden gems and boutique hotels.

This doesn’t mean you’ll give up the luxury experience, though! I particularly adore boutique hotels as they offer fantastic attention to detail, as well as some of the highest quality services in the industry.

In this guide, I’ve listed my favourite boutique hotels in Greece. So, take a look at some of these enchanting locations and start planning your Greek getaway!

1. AthensWas Design Hotel

Address: Dionysiou Areopagitou 5, Athina 117 42, Greece

Best for: A comfortable and relaxing experience

AthensWas Design Hotel Restaurant

If you’re looking for a hassle-free trip to Athens as well as a luxury stay, look no further than AthensWas Design Hotel.

Not only is it in the heart of the city, but its historical look and mesmerising view make it worth the visit.

The exceptional concierge service handles everything from the moment you book until your departure. This includes transportation to and from the airport.

Instead of making an itinerary, my tip is to speak to the concierge about arranging your tours and reservations. You’ll barely have to lift a finger!

To make the most out of the design hotel, make sure to grab dinner at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, SENSE, for epic views.

2. ON Residence in Thessaloniki

Address: Leof. Nikis 5, Thessaloniki 546 24, Greece

Best for: Active travellers

ON Residence

ON Residence is hands down one of the best hotels in Thessaloniki. It’s perfect if you’re after an adventurous getaway but don’t want to compromise on luxury and comfort.

You have the mesmerising Mediterranean on one side, and the active city on the other side. It’s one of the best boutique hotels for allowing you to enjoy Thessaloniki to the fullest!

The tempting residence might dissuade you from even exploring Thessaloniki, as it has everything, from the rooftop bar to the calm spa.

Still, I’d recommend seizing the opportunity to visit the glorious archaeological sites, especially the Arch of Galerius.

Since you’re in the centre of the city, you may as well do some shopping and take in the bustling nightlife.

3. Cali Mykonos

Address: Cali Mykonos, Mikonos 846 00, Greece

Best for: Privacy and serenity

Mykonos is high on many people’s travel list. My favourite way to do it is staying at a luxurious boutique hotel, like Cali Mykonos.

A superb view, an amazing infinity pool, and fine dining are essential elements of a trip to Mykonos. And Cali Mykonos certainly ticks all these boxes.

Plus, Cali Mykonos is as private and serene as can be, without being cut off from the city. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with their own private terraces and pools.

There’s also the hotel’s own private beach for total serenity, and two hotel yachts to whisk you into the action if you so wish.

4. Nobu Santorini

Address: 84700 Imerovigli, Imerovigli 847 00, Greece

Best for: A dreamy laid-back vibe

Nobu is a renowned name in the luxury hotel industry.  So it’s a no-brainer that the Santorini location made my list.

This is a strong statement but I think Nobu Santorini is my favourite hotel in Greece. I had the most incredible stay here.

From my private terrace with breathtaking views and a heated plunge pool, to the dreamy laid-back vibes of the main pool, it’s the best place to relax and unwind.

Of course, you’ll also find incredible food at Nobu restaurant – don’t miss out on trying the black miso cod.

5. Domes White Coast Milos

Address: Mytakas, Pachena 848 00, Greece

Best for: Couples

Domes White Coast Milos

Milos is one of the most underrated islands in Greece. It’s uncrowded, yet still has a pretty active nightlife.

Once home to Venus de Milo, the island is a romantic haven. As for luxury travellers, you’ll find no hotel better than Domes White Coast.

Since the hotel is adults-only, it’s the best location for a tranquil honeymoon.

Even if you’re travelling alone or with a group of friends, the immaculate vibes are perfect for falling in love with the Aegean Sea.

6. Lindos Aqua Terra in Rhodes

Address: Vlicha Beach, Lindos, Rodos 851 07, Greece

Best for: A beachfront hotel

Lindos Aqua Terra Hotel

The Lindos Aqua Terra Hotel is truly a masterpiece. The attention to detail is unlike any other hotel in Rhodes – not to mention the special staff and gorgeous exterior.

The hotel’s restaurant, GAEA, offers some of the loveliest Greek food. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, I’d really recommend stopping by the restaurant if you’re in the Lindos area.

Situated right on the beach, the location is utterly dreamy, while also being close to all the beautiful attractions of Lindos.

The only downside to this boutique hotel is the high demand. I’d suggest booking well in advance. Otherwise, someone else might snag the stay of your dreams!

7. Andronis Minois in Paros

Address: Parasporos beach, Paros Island 844 00, Greece

Best for: Beach lovers

Andronis-Boutique-Hotel-Exterior

When it comes to rooms and amenities, Andronis Minois has something for everyone. You can take your pick between a sea view suite, a private pool, or an entire villa to yourself!

The staff are as helpful as can be. They’ll feel like your family, especially if you’re staying for an extended time.

Do make use of the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service to Naoussa. There, you can take in the charming streets and grab a bite to eat at the exceptional Amelie Cafe.

8. The Saint Vlassis in Naxos

Address: Konstantinou Karamanli, Naxos 843 00, Greece

Best for: Luxury travellers on a budget

The Saint Vlassis in Naxos

The Saint Vlassis Hotel is the place to stay in Naxos.

Despite the more budget-friendly price, the hotel has exceptional amenities, high cleanliness standards, and the most friendly staff.

This hotel is fairly new, hence the price point. Don’t let its newness put you off though – the persistent five star reviews tell you everything you need to know.

Staying at the Saint Vlassis is a perfect way to explore Naxos in all its glory.

Walking is a must if you’re in Naxos. Luckily, the hotel is only 15 minutes from the city centre, making for the ideal stroll.

9. Verina Astra in Sifnos

Address: Poulatis, Sifnos 840 03, Greece

Best for: Breathtaking views

Verina Astra in Sifnos is a hotel that offers something for each guest. It’s not just a luxury hotel, a spa, or a foodies’ haven. It’s all of that and more.

Honestly, you’ll want to spend more than just one or two nights here in order to make the most of all that this boutique hotel in Greece has to offer.

But easily my favourite part of this hotel is the breathtaking views of the endless blue Aegean Sea. While at night, it’s the perfect spot for stargazing.

10. Porto Zante Villas and Spa in Zakynthos

Address: Tragaki, GR 291 00 Zakynthos, Greece

Best for: Luxurious villa accommodation

Porto Zante Villas & Spa in Zakynthos

When I think of luxury Greek hotels, the Porto Zante is one of the first hotels that comes to mind.

The hospitable staff and opulent accommodation will have you revisiting Zakynthos just to stay at this boutique residence!

I adore staying in villas, but I often find them too secluded, lacking essential amenities. Not at Porto Zante, though.

Sure, the beachfront villas and pools are private, but the discrete staff apprehend your needs, making for an exclusive experience.
