Wild-Thyme-and-Honey-bathrrom

Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, Cirencester is a charming market town brimming with rich history, picturesque streets, and a vibrant local culture.

Known as the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds,’ Cirencester offers a delightful blend of old-world charm and modern comforts.

I consider it to be the perfect base for exploring all of the best things to do in the Cotswolds, including its many pretty villages.

That’s not to say that Cirencester itself doesn’t offer much – there are plenty of things to do in Cirencester, from wandering ancient Roman ruins to exploring the bustling market square.

And what better way to experience the town’s warmth and hospitality than by staying in one of its best hotels?

From luxurious retreats to cosy, family-run establishments, the hotels in Cirencester offer a range of options to suit every taste and budget.

Here are some of my favourite picks of the best places to stay in Cirencester.

Kings Head Hotel

I was fortunate enough to stay in an ‘Indulgent’ room at the King’s Head and can heartily recommend it for a luxury place to stay in Cirencester.

It’s right in the heart of the town and has a fabulous boutique style. Expect opulent touches, such as White Company toiletries as well as friendly professional staff.
