With so much to see and do, I’m not surprised that Interlaken has become a hub for some of the best hotels in Switzerland.

I truly believe that this establishment is one of the best hotels in Interlaken – if not the whole of Switzerland.
This five-star hotel is located in the beating heart of Interlaken, surrounded by the magical snow-capped peaks of the Bernese Oberland and iconic Jungfrau summit.
The hotel’s elegant guest rooms and suites are each decorated in a classic, timeless style which I find adds to the charm.
Exuding luxury, the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa is designed with comfort in mind – without forgetting those indulgent touches that really make a trip special.
Renowned for its exceptional spa facilities, the hotel has a large indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a fitness centre.
Here, I’d suggest diving deeper into the world of wellness and enjoying a range of beauty treatments, including massages and facials.
The hotel has several brilliant dining options, including the La Terrasse restaurant, which serves guests modern Swiss cuisine made with locally-sourced ingredients.
The Victoria Bar and Terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine while overlooking the fairytale Swiss town – I spent several hours doing just this and it was utterly wonderful!

Located just a short walk from the Interlaken Ost railway station, I think that this hotel is an ideal choice for travellers who want to explore the attractions, sights and best things to do in Interlaken.
The hotel offers spacious and beautifully furnished apartments that are equipped with modern amenities. Each apartment features a fully equipped kitchenette, a seating area, and a private bathroom.
Some apartments also have a balcony with impressive views of the surrounding mountain regions, which are an undeniable bonus.
You can choose between one, two and three bedroom apartments – which I know will be perfect if you’re bringing little ones with you.
Swiss Hotel Apartments is located within walking distance of many of Interlaken’s top attractions, including the Harder Kulm viewpoint, Lake Thun, and the Jungfraujoch mountain.
The hotel’s staff can provide guests with information on the best places to visit and can help arrange tours and activities.
3. Hotel BeauSite

Best for: Relaxation
A charming hotel with magnificent views of the mountains and the river, Hotel BeauSite is the ideal place to stay for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
At Hotel BeauSite, you’ll find spacious rooms with large windows to let in plenty of natural light.
There are 50 rooms, all of which feature cosy and comfortable furnishings. Each room is individually decorated, which I find gives each space its own character and flair.
I always love when a hotel has a wellness centre and this one exudes relaxation and calm, providing a welcome escape after a busy day.
There is also a lovely garden area where I’d recommend relaxing and taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain vistas.
Hotel BeauSite is just a short walk from the town centre of Interlaken, where you can find a range of boutique shops, family-owned restaurants and bars.
It is also near the train station, making it easy to explore the nearby villages, such as Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and Spiez, on a day trip.
4. Boutique Hotel Bellevue
Address: Marktgasse 59, 3800 Interlaken, Switzerland
Best for: Balcony views
A historic hotel in the centre of Interlaken, Boutique Hotel Bellevue is located right on the river, looking out across the mountains.
Their 38 rooms are all stylishly decorated, and can accommodate everyone from the solo travellers like me to families.
I love that each room at this river-side hotel has its own balcony, where you can take in the picture-perfect alpine scenery.
Bright and modern, this four star hotel offers a wonderful stay for those travelling to Interlaken and beyond.
The rooms at Boutique Hotel Bellevue are carefully designed with a mix of contemporary and traditional styles in mind. Each room is equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, free WiFi, and a TV.
Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet that includes fresh bread, pastries, fruits, and local cheeses.
Plus, I can confirm that dogs are allowed everywhere in the hotel at no extra cost, aside from the breakfast room – understandably!
5. Carlton-Europe Vintage Adults Hotel

Best for: Adults-only hotel
I’d recommend the Carlton-Europe Vintage Adults Hotel as one of the best hotels in Interlaken for adults-only luxury.
The hotel is designed for adults who are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Interlaken – what could be more dreamy?
I think that the vintage decor in the hotel gives a unique and charming atmosphere, and the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished.
Large windows offer impressive views of the town and alpine surroundings, giving you a taste of the iconic Swiss mountain ranges that surround the establishment.
The hotel’s restaurant serves up delicious food from breakfast until evening meal, and the popular Asllani’s Corner is known for its homemade burgers and fries.
The Chimney Bar at the hotel offers the perfect place for coffee break or cocktail after dinner.

Bridging historic substance and modern style, I think that the building has been beautifully restored to offer a comfortable stay to guests.
The rooms at this establishment are all elegantly decorated with traditional Swiss furniture, a nod to the building’s historic past that I can really appreciate.
Despite their historic features, the rooms have all the modern amenities you’d expect to find in a hotel of this standard.
Excellent gastronomy is on the menu at Hotel Interlaken, with their restaurant serving up modern Swiss cuisine with a large selection of wines to choose from. Breakfast is served as a buffet, with various hot and cold options.
Within walking distance of the town’s main attractions, such as the Höhematte Park and the Jungfrau Park, I think that this hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Interlaken and the surrounding areas.
7. Hotel Hirschen Interlaken
Address: Hauptstrasse 11, 3800 Interlaken, Switzerland
Best for: Hospitality
Hotel Hirschen Interlaken is a charming hotel located in the heart of Interlaken, known for its warm hospitality and excellent service.
The hotel has a total of 20 rooms that are well-appointed and individually furnished to offer all the modern amenities that you need for a comfortable stay.
The rooms at Hotel Hirschen Interlaken are reminiscent of its long history, with deep wooden ceilings and decorative windows.
Each room has a private bathroom, TV, and free WiFi – what more could you need?
Serving up traditional Swiss cuisine, the hotel’s restaurant is a real treat. I’d suggest indulging in some fondue and rösti, or a special recommendation from the chef, in the hotel’s rustic dining room.

Serving up a rich breakfast featuring a large variety of regional specialties, the hotel doesn’t disappoint.
The bar at Hotel Du Nord offers a great place for guests to socialise, relax and unwind. Whether you choose a comforting coffee or a delicious alcoholic drink, I’m sure you’ll find your tipple of choice.
9. Hotel Krebs Interlaken

Best for: Traditional Swiss food
Located in an envious spot, Hotel Krebs Interlaken is an excellent choice for travellers who want to experience the best of what the town has to offer.
This charming hotel boasts a traditional Swiss style and is only a few minutes’ walk from the Interlaken West train station.
The rooms at Hotel Krebs Interlaken are spacious, comfortable, and modern. As you’d expect, each room features modern amenities such as free WiFi, TV, and a safe.

The hotel’s restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional cheese fondue and raclette – my mouth is watering at the thought!

Valuing the laid back lifestyle as well as the thrill of adventure activities, I’d recommend this hotel as the perfect option for solo travellers.
With newly-renovated rooms, each features everything you might need for a comfortable stay in the town.
All rooms are tastefully decorated with warm and neutral tones, as well as contemporary furnishings which I love. The result is a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel also features a restaurant that serves a variety of international and local dishes, with plenty of vegetarian options. There’s also a bar that offers a wide selection of drinks and cocktails.
I’d recommend enjoying your meals and drinks in the hotel’s stylish and modern dining area, which overlooks the city and the surrounding mountains.
11. Hotel Chalet Swiss

Best for: Traditional Swiss architecture

Spacious and airy, the views are the main feature of this establishment – and rightly so!

I’m sure this is an experience you won’t find anywhere else and makes Metropole Swiss Quality Hotel one of the best hotels in Interlaken for breathtaking views.
For those looking to relax and unwind during their stay, the Metropole Swiss Quality Hotel has a wellness centre that features a sauna, steam bath, and massage treatments.
If, unlike me, you’re a gym bunny, you can also take advantage of the hotel’s fitness centre, which is equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment.
